Ok, I've talked to a few of the buyers of this and they state it's identical to the Ducati DP OEM CF. and that side by side you wouldn't be able to tell. And it's half price. 3k Carbon, no fibre glass.

100% money back guarantee that it's spot on. I spoke to the guy this morning and he claims to have it sourced to a company the builds it to spec but at half the price. Has anyone delt with him? It's worth a look into. I can get the vent guards I'm needing for about half compared to Ducati. I already have OEM rear fender, ignition guard on way, but would sure love to save some cash on the rest. He said he would discount for multiple pieces as well. His feedback is also perfect.... Interesting

Thoughts from anyone? Take a look at his store and see what you think...

Thanks, do you think the spring cover and other small items might be ok?

SoutheastJay I tell you this now as a fellow rider, not as a shop.

You must be very very careful with things, not everything somebody tells you is the truth when they try to sell you something and when things cost half of what others sell them for then it's not that you just found a great deal, there is always a reason for it an it's not that the " expensive " guy is just making a killing on you.

It is very difficult for the consumer to figure out what is what, there is lot's of bad stuff out there and some good. " 3K Carbon" is a word that the Chinese love to use in there parts description, I can tell you that the parts from China look very much like the DP parts from the outside so they are doing a good job but fitment is way out of specs and some of the 1199 parts as the intake covers are very very difficult to get right, very few have mastered it so far.

Feedback helps in some cases but I can also that there is some funny business going with it as well, so always be aware.

I as a shop will not tell you who is good and who is not, that's not my style. I suggest you follow the advise from other members, they are the once that will share a 100% honest opinion with you and that's what you should listen to.

You did spend a big chunk of money for your bike and I fully understand you like to save here but keep an open mind, in the long run sometimes it saves you lot's of hassle when it comes to return shipment and refunds from overseas or local, not to mention the time you spend to try to fit something just to find out it's a no go and then putting the bike back together..........

Spend the money up front so you won't have to spend it later.

In my honest opinion ..

Dealers are in business to sell products and are tuned to tell you what you want to here. Some are better than others.

Having bought Carbon Fiber from Ducati Performance, Ducati Corse, CDT Elite and Shift Tech across both a 1199 and a 1098 and having no "dealer relationships" I can share my experiences.

Bottom line - you get what you pay for - period.

For Carbon you want a matching weave across all Carbon, you want QUALITY carbon, you want excellent fitment and you want a decent re-sale/part out price. In addition, you want to choose a manufacturer that provides a wide range of quality carbon.

Sure you can get carbon a low prices and you will surely end up with crap and trust me anyone worth their salt can tell the quality and the cheap crap. It is beyond me why anyone would pay the price for a 1199 Panigale and then fit it with cheap carbon.

Ducati Performance and Ducati Corse carbon is the gold standard, it is VERY high quality, always in demand and has a price tag to match. You will notice that DP Carbon quickly sells.

Personally, from experience I prefer Ducati Corse, then Ducati Performance then CDT Elite and then Shift-Tech.

I would like to see Shift-Tech offer the entire Carbon range (similar to Carbonvanni) however, based on the website this appears not to be the case. Feel free to surf over to Shift-Tech and CDT Elite and make your own comparisons.

On a side note - What ever Carbon dealer comes up with decent Carbon heat shields is going to make a fair bit of money.

On my 1098 Tricolore - I have Ducati Corse, Ducati Performance, CDT Elite and Shift-Tech (plate frame).

On my 1199 Tricolore - I have Ducati Performance and Shift-tech (plate frame). I will replace the remaining black plastic crap on my 1199 when I see a complete end-to-end carbon range and this will be either/or CDT Elite or Shift-Tech.

I totally agree with the statement in terms of looks and quality.

Currently i am looking around for components to put on the bike for track set up. It is my only bike and I don't care about looks that much, but for CF parts i would put on my "street" bike i would want them to be perfect, good fitting and long lasting. Bling is nice, for the ones who need it.

On my "track" bike i would consider "cheaper" components, as long as they are functional. They have to be cheaper than the original parts, in case of a crash and required replacement. But if they don't fit, they're worthless. That being said, we all can really appreciate the honest input from all members, especially the ones who made the "cheaper" purchases and are willing to admit that buying cheap means buying twice (most of the times).

Thanks, cheers!

From what I've seen, the Akropovic is hand's down some of the best, far better than the DP unfortunately. I don't think Akra makes any for this bike.
