Exhaust Question for the R guys

I have a 2013 Panigale 1199 base. A buddy of mine has a line on a 2014 1199 R which comes with a full Termi exhaust. The seller stated the stock R exhaust which was never installed would come with the deal, buddy would give it to me

My questions are will the 2014 R exhaust fit my 2013 base, is there a need for a re-flash/up-map, and what are the benefits of going with the R stock exhaust.

The exhaust will fit, but you should get the upmap and tune to utilize the extra gains. Race air filter will help too.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the pre-15 R model have the exact same stock exhaust system as the base and S?

Yes... You get the Termi-System and the normal stock system like on 1199 Base/S as this was the only street legal exhaust that was accepted everywhere

go for Akrapovic full Ti exhaust or another 3rd party product (Prince Albert seems to be the FM god on the forum

, Phl is the God of the uncompromising), all better than pre-2015 OEM exhausts.

There's nothing wrong with the full Termignoni exhaust other than the welds are not very neat. Sound is great and power increase is pretty good as well.
