Just removed my termignini's from my 1199 as she is on her way to make way for 1299 and when removing them (dealer fit) I noticed the cable off the exhaust valve is missing and the valve is locked in open position, does this make any difference with stock exhaust?

PS the mist difficult exhaust change ever need I say!

Yes, its more difficult than other bikes, but then its a Ducati Superbike.

If you're goal is to return the bike back to stock, then you need to do the following:

- re-install the servo
- reattach all the servo cables
- remove the termi wiring loom plug
- re-connect the control wiring

If you just want to bang the cans back on and remove the up-map, well then thats easier, depending on what parts you have be given back by the installer.

Bike will run OK with flap open all the time, but you may get an error thrown by the servo actuator and you need the plug, if you want to sell the slips complete.

the cable is used to meet noise emissions ...

besides that, no use. you can leave it off, it will have no influence on the bike's behavior.

With mine, it kind of have influence on the bike's behaviour.
The sound at low rpm is louder.
But the bike is smoother at the rpm where the valve normally closes (4k?), making it more user friendly in traffic.

Cheers guys the dealer is going to sort the ECU as don't have the upmap just the exhaust silencers so o2 sensor etc was still in place

Shall hang on to the termis as hopefully fit my 1299

At least it was in the open position, last week mine failed in the closed position and the bike ran like a bag of .... Dealer sorted it immediately so all is well again now. Now I've not had too many problems with this bike but it was like it knew the warranty had run out the week before, luckily the dealership is pretty good and squared me away :D
