Exhaust

Seeing this thread has already been hijacked lol. Does anyone know what KTM is doing with their exhaust for the RC8R? That bike doesn't have a rear header loop that roasts your ass nice and toasty. At first look it appears the header are of an unequal length. But a closer look shows they are in fact the same but with two entries into the muffler and a mid pipe that connects the headers together. Possibly for scavenging???? The other question is why isn't there something similar for the Pani?

They do add decent midrange numbers compared to what else is out there. Look up the charts on the various threads posted in the forum.

Personal reasons I bought them, may not apply to you:
1) Cheapest, by far - the price is negotiable with your dealer.
3) Free upmap from Ducati, and free access to upgraded maps as Ducati releases them
4) Mid-range power/torque increase. Depending on the dyno chart you look at, it produces more midrange "usable-to-me" power than a certain other system costing around $4k. I don't care as much about the extra few ponies at 11,500 rpm, as i don't stay at that rev level too much street riding, I'd rather have the mid-range
6) Sound is deeper and a slightly better quality sound than stock, albeit not that much louder
7) Weight savings over stock

So yeah... to me, it was absolutely worth it.

Completely agree. $1,600 including the DP ECU....more than worth the price in my opinion. Perfect for my riding needs, no hassle, and zero drama.

I like the stock exhaust sound (more metallic but thumping bass is still in there), and the lazer etched Ducati on the covers that can be seen up close adds to the sleeper look of my white beast. YMMV. Performance wise, well, I'll never max out on that bike anytime soon anyways so until then, its the stock exhaust for me.
