Guys,
I came across this pic today. Has anyone see this X-Large Carbon Fiber Heat Shield over the back header? This looks like it would absolutley help lower the temps on the back of the legs. It would appear to block some rising heat and allow more air cirulation under the shield. Right?

Does anyone know if this can be purchased and fit over the Termignoni headers?

I just noticed that Carbonvani have introduced a Corse and Tricolore version of their outstanding wares.

Is this not the standard heat shield that comes with the Termi's? As it looks exactly the same as mine?

Or am I missing a trick here?

Okay, sorry. It must be the angle.
I just applied a layer of gold radiant foil on the inside of my Termi Carbon Fiber heat sheild and gave it to the Dealer to complete the installation of the full Termi system. Expect to have the new 1199 in my hands by Saturday. This pic of the Termi Heat shield looks a lot taller than what I just had in my hands. Strange. My eyes are playing tricks on me. So, for those with the Termi Heat Shield: There is zero gap between the Carbon Heat Shield and bottom of the seat frame?

Few, thought it was me...!

Yep hardly any gap...

But to be honest I just don't think we are gonna get away from the heat thing, after all everything is bolted directly onto the engine! It's not just the exhaust to blame....

Yeah that's the termi header cover the same as mine, does a good job too. Was on mine in 27 degree heat in town today and it's not the exhaust thats the issue, it's the rear cylinder the heat is coming off. When I move my legs back towards the exhaust it gets much cooler.
Even then it's not too bad as long it's not in traffic too long. I remember when the 1198 radiator fan used to kick in, it was like walking into a Turkish sauna...in full leathers!

Ps there is no gap because it bolts directly to the underside of the subframe as well as the exhaust. It shares the rear foot peg holes. It makes putting the rear hangers on a pain in the arse.
