Fairing help please

I have removed my front fairing ...had to tighten screen bolts, now I can’t get it back seems the left side has a wiring loom that makes it difficult? Getting the locating part to align with the fairing to insert the 8mm bolt ?

guys what am I doing wrong ? And advise appreciated

You sort of have to spread open the outer part for it to clear around the wires. Not much but just a bit then it will sort of pop into place. I know this is a very technical explanation but its the best I can do. I might recommend a little grease on the male bit that slips into the female grommet in the headlights too.

Are you referring to the fastener which installs through the headlight holder and into the clip nut located on the nose fairing's inner bracket? If so, yes, the wiring harness may keep the components from lining up. Ensure that the wiring harness is properly routed and then use a small Allen wrench (or similar) and insert it through the fastener hole to gauge component alignment. It can be a pain sometimes.

managed to fit it with no scratches ...and no spare bolts when I finished
