Fairings 4 Sale 1299s panigale

The original for sale post could have—and should have—given some background about the prior fairing sale. I think doing so would have helped the rest of us decide from the beginning if this was another scam for sale thread (there are many).

Double O and everyone else who posted pessimistic replies were totally acting reasonably. This is a community and we are looking out for each other.

My 2 cents, this is way too much information. You should really really not be posting personal info like this.

No one cares about a paypal bunfight, mea culpas and who did what to who, you shouldn't either. My suggestion is delete the username of the gentleman who has passed away and ask the site owner to delete this thread. If anyone still wants to join the board to sell Panigale parts then do so on your own ticket and I am sure that people will respect that. As it stands any dealings with any of these users is tainted.
Hey this was not my doing at all. To clarify once and for all. I have no control obviously over what others choose to post and seeing the situation I requested it be dealt with off this forum but in own private conversation but it then took a turn for worse. I'm simply trying to sell my husband's bike parts and pay our bills after he passed away. It definitely got out of hand and I'm sorry for that but I had no part in any of the back and fourth nor did I know that was going to take place. I'd just assumed it had been taken care of in person on phone or email. Again I am extremely sorry

Omg people do you even know what your talking about? No you do not at all. If you read the last tid bit by Glenn rinks whom the PayPal dispute was with which I had no knowledge about until after the fact. My husband had the fairing in the car to send off. Yet like I have said he passed away he never made it home that night ... I had no idea the circumstances at all or that would been the case. So forgive me if I feel me n mhammond223 are the cause for all this. I had no idea what the situation was except that it did not get sent there was a dispute and Glenn was dealing with it. He did not want me to have to mess with it seeing I had and still do have enough on my plate. I need money to pay bills añd keep a roof over my 14 yr old son who just lost his father and did not even get to say goodbye. So please put it in past for God sake s

Jw27cash = Jeremy Whitcher, Mhammond223 = Mike Hammond.
On November 30, 2010, Jeremy Michael Whitcher, 29, of Springfield, Mo., pleaded guilty to filing a false 2007 return, using a false form W-2 created by Powell. As a result of the false return, the IRS issued a refund to Whitcher in the amount of $8,156. Subsequent to and because of the false return, Whitcher received an economic stimulus check from the United States Treasury in the amount of $600.

On December 9, 2010, Michael Hammond, 39, of Springfield, Mo., pleaded guilty to filing a false 2007 return using a false W-2 Powell created by, from which Hammond received a $10,983 refund.

Hey Glenn first off I am sorry for your loss and any heartache this caused. I do a lot of internet sales and I have heard 900 ........ stories over the years about why something wasn’t paid for and or shipped. On both sides.

I was happy to have you still ship the faring even after a month. I only opened the case when I didn’t hear back for three weeks or so of directly trying to contact you. My goal was not to get a small refund but to get my faring. As you know me and you had had a few emails over several months even trying to work out the sale etc. When I went to reply to your message on the PayPal case PP informed me that the you had escalated the case and I couldn’t reply to you. This is very common tactic when people play games on PP. Insert ........ excuse try and escalate and keep the money. I have been the victim of this before with not small sums of money. It also set off a red flag when I am sending money to other email accounts than the seller in the first place as I am sure you can understand.

After not receiving my plastics or getting a response other then on the PP case and not even being able to reply due to escalation I felt like I had been took. I came on to the forums to see the plastics for sale again and felt like it was another game being played on forum members seeing as how I never got mine. I would have appreciated a direct email explaining what was going on it would have been absolutely no problem to wait or cancel the sale due to the circumstances. The only communication I received was in the PP case after I paid. Again I tried to respond and say I was willing to close case and wait but couldn’t because the case was escalated by whoever was running your side of the PP. At that point it was out of my hands and PP has to decide.

Sorry for your loss! My Sincerest Condolences To You And The Family! Ride Safe!
Sorry for my delayed reply on this. I really appreciate you taking the time to write all that. I don't want to beat a dead horse but just to clarify with you, you did speak to my friend Mike all the way up until the sale. He let me know that someone would be sending some money and I told him that was okay. I didn't come into this picture until I received notice from PayPal about a dispute. Again, thank you for taking the time to apologize and for the sentiment. I'm sorry that things did not work out for either of us.

No one is getting ripped off here. There was a refund given to Hawk. I replied back to him and ignored all this other b******* because it it isn't his doing. Everybody is welcome to do whatever they want in a situation of exchanging goods for money. No one has to buy anything from anybody. I get everybody being cautious because this is very much an atypical situation. As I understand it, my friend sold several parts on this forum, successfully. This is literally the only one that didn't work out and it was because he died. I find it incredible but everybody was a judge somebody based on this single event. Again, you are pointing the finger at someone who was no longer alive. I know everybody feels like they're on the right side of here. You are not. This is a very unfortunate set of circumstances that in true internet fashion, has been blown out of proportion.

Hey Glenn, what’s left of the bike for sale? I might be interested What happened to the frame and the engine?

Listen, Paul. No one is lying to anybody. I see you spent a lot of time on your response here by getting some of the most easily accessible information via the Internet. Must be great to sit in your chair there and cherry-pick information about someone who lived almost 50 years and push it on to the public in a way to support your previous statements. It almost sounds like you're intentionally trying to defame someone's character. It also seems that your quick search uncovered some things that might make you think twice about addressing anybody directly. I noticed you did not post your address or your name, nor have you shown up at my door or Jeremy's. I truly would have been hospitable towards you. I won't speak for Jeremy on that matter. I'm certain that Michael no longer care what you post and Jeremy doesn't care what you think about him. His comments were provoked by the disrespect for the Widow. Neither of these two men ever hid from what they did and both paid what was asked of them. That is why you see those records. I'm sure you would hate for someone to read these things you wrote and judge you on your Uninvited input. Or even worse, judge you in a court of law for libel and slander. I'm certain that your comment about deleting this thread was more of a selfish nature, but I will agree with that. In case that doesn't happen, Do not post anything else, Paul.

Think you got your wires crossed, I was commenting on post#25 by vesparacer which I quoted, I regard it as a pretty ...... attack. As far as I am concerned there is way too much information for a bike forum, its pretty disgraceful all round and should have been dealt with privately.

Wow! I feel like an ass. Very sorry for that. I typically don't engage in this type of thing and now learned that I should double-check who I'm replying to. Again, my apologies!

Jeez I’m just trying to buy some bike parts here. I read all the post by Mhammond. His first post was in January and was a “hey how’s it going, I have a Ducati and because of med reasons, I can’t ride anymore”. The subsequent post starting in March are all related to selling parts off the bike referenced in the first post. To be fair, Hawk wasn’t the only point of contention. Playaktam posted an issue as well. So my question would be, if you can no longer ride the bike why not sell the bike? Why is the bike parted out? Where is the engine? and more importantly, why is the only part with a serial number on it not listed for sale? Where is the title for the bike? If the frame was sold or transferred, is there a bill of sale? Complete speculation and “IM NOT IMPLYING THIS HERE” but this is exactly how bikes are “parted out”. Introductory message followed by parts. So as far as the “...... post” referencing the past it may or may not be relevant. If there is a fraudulent component then the info posted would be relevant. Personally, I don’t buy large parts from private parties unless I know them or they have proof of ownership. If the Hammond group has the motor, I would like to buy it and if you have a titled frame, I would like to buy that also.

Again, this was not my bike. As I understand it, it was purchased with the understanding it would need to be overhauled, engine wise. Not sure what the differences between Ducati and Japanese bikes are as far as how the engine is put together but it requires a special expertise. As a Ducati owner, you may know what I'm talking about. Along with the statement, "but it's a beautiful bike though". He bit off more than he could chew. Mike worked in the oil fields and the industry went bust with everything that was going on. He couldn't sell the bike with the engine in pieces and it turned out parting it out selling it would net more. The engine and frame went right away. Probably more information than you wanted but I thought it would give everybody on this thread a good picture of what was going on and why his widow needed the money.

Well there goes that. I guess you responded while I was typing. Hope everything works out. I don’t think there are any bad people here just a lot of misunderstandings and some deviation from procedure. Best to all parties

I replied to your other comment that was directed towards me. I hope that answers your question. I just now saw what Mike wrote. Mike did have some recent health problems but that didnt keep him off the bike. He fancied himself a skilled mechanic and would never admit that he couldn't fix the bike to friends, much less strangers on the internet. Also, we all told him not to buy it. I'm only replying these facts to the post because there seems to be some insinuation of wrongdoing. Along with the publicized past, you may consider this a fair question. Everything I know about the situation is that it is all on the up-and-up and the only unfortunate parts about this is it someone passed away prematurely and left his family in a poor financial state. Along with the fact that in her attempt to defend her actions, she has to constantly discuss her husband's death. There's plenty of these bikes for sale. I'm certain you will have a hard time finding one

Just saw this post. I was busy replying to your other post. Probably could have skipped that. Anyway, thanks for the understanding. This whole thing has become very convoluted.
