Few questions from a new V4 fella

Good afternoon gents,

I've only been on my V4 for 3 months (I used to ride a 600RR for 3 years prior to that, so this probably counts as my first proper bike lol) and I've had lots of questions popping up in my mind.

First and foremost, will a tuned/modded H2 beat a V4 with an akra full system?

Second, what other major performance mods that can be installed in the V4 other than full exhaust systems? Also, what is the importance of the (is it called upmaping)? What does it specifically do and what is its process? I used to throw in any system on my 600RR randomly, so I'm kind of new to all this world.

Third, do you think a heavily modded V4 would be the strongest among any heavily modded other 1k bike? I'm talking about throwing in that $3k carbon fiber tank, wheels etc.

Fourth, what gear is the strongest on the bike that I should be looking to start a race on? Also I can't seem to find the perfect shift on every gear. My 4th to 5th is usually the worst shift, and even on other shifts I sometimes miss-shift. Any thoughts?

I'm happily the first and only (so far) V4 owner in Egypt, so there's nowhere I can get proper feedback on the bike. I regularly race against a few friends of mine who ride BMW S1000RRs. Sometimes they take the lead, sometimes I do. But they're all having the luxury of brocks/akra full system and I'm poorly bone stock, and surely as more as I gain more knowledge and control of the bike, I seem to be able to deliver more challenge. However, it's only the H2 with a power commander and a slip-on that seems like it might be able to throw me off the pitch. I'm always looking for more power and I'm starting to grow thoughts of whether can the V4 deliver me this wish or not? Should I throw in a full akra system and start spending more bucks on the bike to gain my wish, or should I be looking for an H2 in order to have that?

Thanks for your time!

If you are taking the bike into the twisties the v4 has the advantage. If you are racing In a straight line the H2 will walk away from it every time. It should.. it's a supercharged missile so long as its modded right.

I'm not sure how this is a question. Depending on your grid position and if you have stock gearing, I would say 1st gear every time. I've sometimes started in 2nd on a couple of oddly geared bikes but usually 1st gear starts yield the best hole shots for modern bikes with stock(ish) gearing.

I think he's talking about just straight line pulls on a highway... think the H2 and V4 both make around the same peak hp stock so doubt there's any walking away over any reasonable distance w/o modification

Theres a reason so many people drag the H2 and not the v4

Coming from a 600 to a v4, I dont think you have to touch the bike in regards to performance. The bike is insane.

Lol a modded h2 can make 250 rwhp fairly easily... Good luck getting that out of ANY naturally aspirated ducati...

Tbh you sound like a kid, im gathering english might not be your first language but so far im gathering a ........ vibe that you neither have any experience or the bike.

Why you missing shifts... When your bike has a quickshifter lol

Not supposed to be exactly a question I was wondering if anyone has tips on what RPM I should be looking to shift, or should I wait for the orange or the red blink. I'm just ranting out my lack of perfect shifting lol. I figured I get way ahead of the s1k rather than when we start on 3rd gear.

Definitely talking about a straight drag race. We've no tracks in Egypt whatsoever lol, and we have only one major reliable road for drag racing.

I've done some 2,500 km on it. Regardless of not being so good on it yet, it's still crystal clear how insane it is.

Sadly, I've only come to learn this very recently, as I wasn't into the "big" bikes scene. I just saw the V4 when it got released and I instantly bought it knowing it's the strongest 1k production bike (and it's hella sexy), but I wasn't well aware of what mods do on different bikes.

Again, I've only learned that about the H2 recently from the owner of the H2 I've had a run with.
And I'm gathering that this kinda reflects your own self, not me or anyone else lol. Why the .... would I waste my time here asking all these questions if I don't have the bike? And you don't gotta be spirtual to gather that I don't have the experience cause I literally said it lol. I'm not _MISSING_ shifts, there are just far more better viable shifts. It's not like I'm revving it every damn time or shifting early. But still, 0.1 second is all what it takes to call it a miss shift. Also, to answer your professionally built gatherings, go check Okail_m on instagram, you'll find my Vicky shining there :)

What's Egypt like right now? I thought it was unstable due to the government, Arab spring and all of that. I never pictured somone having something nice over there with the termoil that has been going on out there. Are there a lot of nice bikes? Maybe upper class guys buzzing around with nice rides?
