Finally got the call, but not exactly what I wanted at first.

Got a call yesterday from my local dealership. Could it be, finally my 1199S ABS? Short answer was No, however they were calling to inform me that they had 2 1199S non-ABS available, if I wanted to change my order. After about 24 hours of back and forth thought I decided to go ahead and change to the 1199S non-ABS.

So tomorrow by 1:00pm PST I expect to be heading home on my new ride. Can't wait, but i think you could tell thank.

On a side note, I've been a long time lurker on this forum, and just wanted to say Thank You all for the information that's been shared here.

Congratulations DJ!

There are a few of us from the Bay Area on the forum now so we'll definitely have to get together and get the bikes lined up for a group shot.

So anxious for mine to come in.

I think, was I you, I would have changed my mind and taken the non-ABS too. I've practically chewed my fingernails to the bone waiting for my call.

I wouldn't do it! ABS on this bike works seamless for me so far. I really like having it.

Totally agree ... Looks likes Ducati are issuing the bikes in order of geography, with the bay area last !!!! Meanwhile, my spare room is rapidly filling up with Ducati Performance Parts.

Even if you wait an extra 2 weeks is it really the end of the world? Unless you're a gazillionaire I wouldn't settle.

Not pressured, I could easily wait, after thinking about it I just changed my mind. Had to ask myself the question; would I be upset if I found out a 1199S ABS arrived next week?

The answer was no.

@Tricolor3SF, Ace Motorsports in Concord, deposit made in February.

Now just waiting on the final call to tell me the bike is ready, and completed final prep with all accessories installed. Shouldn't be more then an hour or two. Can't wait, especially since it is an absolutely gorgeous day in the Bay Area!

Jesus, I wish I was in your shoes...I've been waiting for a non ABS S to show up at my dealer, they have received exactly one bike...a Tricolore since launch, with no sign of any showing up any time soon. Dont understand why its so damn hard to get the bike here in Phoenix but damn...I am getting truly pissed about this wait while people all over the US are riding Tricolores, S, and base 1199s, I'm left here twiddling my thumbs watch the temps outside creep up to 110 degrees on the regular...

Gerd , I've been waiting since Aug 2011 ! Still can't seem to get my base w/o ABS in stock ! I'm about ready to say .... it and buy an S or base ABS instead !

So you did'nt know about this bike until it was " announced " ? Maybe you should get back to playing Call of Duty , instead of making stupid comments about things you really know nothing about. I put down my deposit in Aug. before there were even any concept drawings out.
