Finally pulled the trigger on the R!

First time I've seen the red rim stripe on the R.

Good catch cosmok! That's because the R comes with the same forged wheel as the S, but sans the red pinstripe. I like the clean, all business look of the all black R wheel, especially for the race track, but since my bike is just gonna be parked at Starbucks (j/k), I opted for striped wheels off an S. I think the red stripe really ties the wheels in with the red bodywork, kind of like your Tricolore, which is beautiful.
Of course the 41 tooth sprocket had to be kept with the R, so that carried over to the striped rear wheel. The Westlake Ducati guys took the wheels off one of the flat black Panigales' they have and put the R wheels on. That flat black S looks baddass with the R wheels! Win Win!

Definitely some good roads nearby. Will have to go check Ducati Westlake out.

Oh and congrats on the R!

Thanks AntiHero! When you find yourself down this way, hit me up and I'll buy ya a coldie! Your travels are inspiring!

Congrats!

Mine arrives in March. Until then I am very, very, very jealous :D

Mutt1979- FWIW, I've been waiting a while for mine as well. It's worth every day you waited when you get the keys, throw your leg over, and finally start her up. Then once you start feeling her claw at the road ahead as the revs climb, it just gets stupid! You're gonna love it!

Congrats on the R! I just got mine a few weeks ago, but the weather has only allowed me to put about 100 miles on it.

That's an awesome dealer you got there, letting you experience it from the delivery room. Like seeing a new born baby for the first time. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the new bike!

Congrats and enjoy!

What bike are you coming from prior to the R?

You're gonna love it...(break it in hard....seat those big rings early!)

RSR racer I havent owned a street bike for two decades. The last one I spent a fair amount of time on was a Kawasaki Police 1000. Needless to say the R is a whole different breed apart from the former one. I've been breaking it in somewhat hard with lots of hard accel/decels. I had to adjust the chain already and I haven't put 200 miles on it yet...:)
