First 2013 UK Ride out - CANCELLED

I have not ridden my bike since October 2012 but am looking to get out for a gentle "reacquainting" run on Saturday 13th April. Subject to the weather.

Current plan is to meet at the Shell Petrol station opposite Tesco's at the top of the A413 by the Buckingham roundabout on the A421.

Move down to Ducati Aylesbury and then on to the Waterside Cafe at Benson.

Suggested timings are leaving Shell at 11.00 and Ducati Aylesbury at 12.00

The weather forecast is vague at this stage but there are hints of 13-14 degrees.

If any one wishes to come along, please put your name down nearer the time.

If it is wet or cold, I am a no show!

I might be up for it weather permitting offcourse.

The bike needs a few things being done before I commit, hopefully I can sort them all out in a few days time.

I live close to Coventry, lets see how far do I have to ride to get there, if too far then I will have to give this a miss!
 
Might be up for it, although wheels are away being painted and waiting for my Ohlins forks to arrive :)

and possibly still be salt around :(

Lightweight, 'tis only a little bit of water to swim across!

I am so hoping the salt has gone by then, I am going stir crazy here!

Mali, Bolds, it would be great to see you if you can make it. Bold's bike has to be a contender for one of the better looking Dukes around.
 
With the amount of salt/grit they've put down up here this year, its going to take several weeks of rain to clean them. :mad:

I managed 170 miles on Sunday. Couldn't take it any longer!
 
Guys,

Just in case anyone can make it, I have had to push the time back by 1hr due to a dental appointment that morning. Now leaving Shell at 11.00hrs.

I realise that this means more road traffic, but I cannot change that. I will still get out, subject to weather.

I hope too that the expected rain during the week will clean up some / all of the salt!

but LED headlight Ohlins forks and rear shock are fitted:)

Very cool. :cool: if not next week I look forward to seeing it finished.
 
Apologies for anyone who was thinking of coming along. The weather is too changeable at the moment so rather than buggering people about closer to the day, I am cancelling this run. I may still go out but will decide on the morning.
 
Unfortunately thats the UK pretty much all year :D

I have been told wheels should be done beginning of next week so if weather is ok might be around also

Pork pies..curries...scratchings..Black pudding .. Fish'n'chips

Things I don't miss about it... Weather weather and the weather....

Sounds good. I am not around on 20th but 21st might work.

April showers are sadly a knowen issue, but when the breaks come, I will take them. :)

I looked to move to Santa Monica in 2008, sadly it did not happen for me but one day perhaps. I still have several cousins and family in Cali.
