1st bike huh? Well.........you have good health ins. Plz tell me your not a teen.
Congrats on the bike.

No, I'm not a teen. Had the bike since Dec but waited to get the motorcycle license before I rode. Got it mid March and put on a couple of hundred miles last week. Burned both my legs so ordered the Ilmberger shield and should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to getting its first service sometime this month.

stay safe & get used to the bike before giving it some beans.

also try and get some track time to learn how a bike handles

Congrats, you've certainly dived in the deep end. Nothing wrong with that if your mature and respect it can be a dangerous pursuit.

Enjoy and stay safe!

Welcome to the forum.

Please take some advice newb or not and take the MSF course.

I'd hate to be riding such a nice bike without knowing the basics.

That's why I waited a few months. Took the class then got the license.

whats that going to do for you?? just because the computer holds back some power?? ITS still a 1198.7 cc motorcycle, and still kick your ass just like anything else on 2 wheels with little to no experience!!!

Why when someone young gets a Pani, that everyone starts getting all father-figure, be careful, safe mode, should start with a 600. Do you really think someone reading this forum is going to chage ther riding habits because of what we say? If that was true, we would all be using Gloss CF :D
