Wow.... Sounds like an amazing machine....

I can't even imagine a lighter 1199 with that kind of power he described. God, it must be like a freaking roller coaster ride!

What a lucky guy and good for him that he is breaking that damn thing in on the track!

I was zeroing inon an HP4 Comp. Now I am not so sure, SL might be the ticket!

That SL belongs to Nicky Romero, a well known Dutch DJ.. Nicky Romero - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I will be getting my SL deposit back early next week. Dealer is waiting for the check to clear at their bank and then I would get the $13k back. Sadly lack of credit history and duration worked against me so the financing approval went bust inspite of having a really good credit score. Maybe a few more years would help solidify that.

Disappointed that my SL aspiration didn't work out but I will continue to ride my 1199R and start saving up for the next limited Ducati beauty that follows.

To those who are cleared to getting one.. congrats and enjoy the beast !!!

I wouldn't listen to the review of a guy without some good race experience with results to back it up. What does he know? Reminds me of all the people ranting on about how amazing the 1098 handled when they couldn't ride worth a damn( 1098 has rear weight bias and handles horribly if you missed my point)

this.

I highly doubt that dude can tell the difference between an R and an SL on the street besides the bling.

The owner references riding several other high end bikes as well as a 1199R so I think he has a decent perspective of the difference between those bikes and the SL.

Doubtful. All that cash he spilled buying the bike has him blinded. Would be more interested in a track review.

it's the latest and greatest from ducati - there is nothing not to like - get one, and enjoy it - "a chicken in every pot, and a ducati in every garage" (isn't that the saying?)
