As it says in the title, this is about my 1st test ride on the 1199.
It was the 1199s model with a full termi race system fitted.

Im gonna keep this very very simple,..................
If you have paid your deposit i garentee you its the best money you have ever ever spent on a bike, quite simply this is the best thing i have ever had the fortune to ride, its simply awesome!! everything and i mean everything they say about it is true, if your coming off IL4,s onto this you wont know whats hit you the first time you open her up.
I was eager to get mine before i rode this test model now im ready to walk to Bologne myself to pick it up. its simply that good!!!

When ive calmed down abit and manged to get this grin off my face i might go into more detail but honestly you really dont need it.
You just need to know that every penny you intend to spend on this bike is going to be worth it.

I sure friggin hope so because I'm having a little buyers remorse over what else I could be doing with that money lol.

How did those Termi's sound in person? Did you get to open her up at all and test it a bit?

Termi,s are loud...very loud!!!! got em to pop on the overrun, well actually it wasnt a pop it was more like someone unloading a shotgun, made me jump the first time i heard it!
It revs very freely and just pulls from anywere in any gear.I was bimbling for a little bit catching my breath, doing about 40mph in 2nd road opened up and i gassed it, quickshifter into 3rd 120mph on the clock in the blink of an eye (private road of course!!) it really is that quick.
I have ridden and owned all the japanese IL4,s over the last few years and they are quick, but non of them honestly compares to what this bike gives you.
Recalibrate the brain if your coming off anything than a modern day sportsbike onto this, i ride a speed triple at the min and things where happening so much quicker than i could react initially.
If i have to pick fault with the bike there are only a few minors
the seat is hard as rock and the automatic suspension set up on race mode matches it, as it says its set up for track so its very harsh on the road so you may want to fiddle with it, and buy the "comfort" seat.
This may have been me and just my clumsy feet, but i found that the left footpeg and gear shift lever a little too close together and so i had to adjust a few times as i missed the lever with my toe (i.e when i searched for another gear and went to get my toe under the lever i "overshot it" )
In Race mode (the only one i used) it really is as it says on the tin, and below 50mph it doesnt really work, the throttle is snatchy and the bike just feels like its straining at the leash(im sure the other modes will proberbly ammend this) im not sure if its changable when riding but in hindsight i would switch to a lower mode whilst say riding through town etc and then flick it to race mode once i got some open space.

Oh i suppose i can add that the side stand is a bit awkward, and the mirrors although set wide enough to be able to see past your elbows, the vibration means all you really see is a blur.

Im test riding it on wednesday..can't wait. I have already ordered the 'comfort seat' & the reverse quickshifter.

Thanks for all the good info bud. Thats really good info to hear. Seems like the hard seat and side stand are the main complaints so far. I'm sure most of the guys are already ordering their "comfort seats". I know I already spotted one at my dealer.
