Hey guys..
So my story begins with my gf finding a 2012 panigale for sale on craigslist for $15,000 with 500 miles on it.. I figured some ....... posted it as an april fools joke.. but we went to see it the next day not even realizing it may be mine (kinda like the feeling you get when you start packing for a vacation).. yada yada yada.. on april 13th i was riding it back from jersey to queens

little personal riding history:
4 years ago i bought my first bike.. a stock 1973 honda cb500 that i turned into a cafe racer after i learned to ride it
2 years ago i bought a 2006 honda cbr600rr
going 3 weeks into the panigale.. still riding it in wet mode but i'll start playing with it more after the may 14th first service in Ducati Triumph of Manhattan
EDIT: it's a 2012 base model panigale with ABS

first time down july 27/28 2012 - on the belt parkway.. some moron cut me off going from the left lane to the exit on the right.. reason for the fall.. i think i locked up my front tire.. 2 broken toes and scrapes like a true squid :\ learned my lesson..

Konrad
30yrs old.. enjoying life

Welcome, konrads. Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down and all will be well in Queens.

Congrats on the shiny, new Panigale!

Congrats!

3 weeks in "Wet" mode! I think I lasted, erm, well, I didn't!

it's still a bit cold during the evenings so i didn't spend much time on it yet.. but i prefer to settle in nice and slow than go down hard and fast :)

after the first service it's going to sports mode :)

Welcome to the forum!

Nothing wrong with Wet mode for getting your feet wet on the new ride. With time, you'll be there less.

This!

I actually had a pretty decent time in WET mode. Good way to get used to the bike without having to worry about any surprises. I occasionally switch to it if I know i'm going to be stuck in traffic commute.

For the most part I leave it in SPORT. I'll be trying RACE once the 1st service is complete.

hey my first ride on my new panigale was in wet mode....but that was due to the fact I picked it up and it was actually raining....

but i mean I couldnt have waited 2 whole days more till the dealer was open again now could I?....so i strapped the rain gear on and got her home....

congrats on the new bike

Welcome to the forum bro and to your first Ducati. It's a lovely ride for this is my fourth one. My other Ducati si the 1098 which I still love it. Yea, ppl are butt heads and you do have to watch out for them. Where I live is one of the poorest counties in Texas so you know how that is. They're are some stupid drivers here bro, true story. I has a lady right beside me and we were both looking at each and the ...... still pushed me out of the lane into the turning lane just so she wouldn't have to slow down in passing this truck. Crazy ppl here, so do be careful bro. Either stay ahead of the morons or behind them, a good distance. Ride safe
