Went to change my oil today and found this when I removed the fairing

Not that I'm keeping count but I've had:
- Dash ECU issue
- Coolant leak (twice)
- Stalling
- Now an oil leak

That... is not good. Did any of the bolts back out or is that the gasket? How much oil have you had to put in?

Oil level is still good haven't had to add any. All of the bolts look good but i haven't touched anything so who knows. I'm going to have the dealer come get it. Its under warranty so they can mess with it.

Just removed the right side fairing and there's oil on the oil pan bolts on that side as well. Not sure if it's from the left side leak or not and I can't get to these without removing the slip-ons.

Not sure that's where it's coming from? The trail runs down the engine cover. I think something is leaking from up top?

Maybe it's just the picture, but it looks like it's everywhere. Sure that's oil? Unless it just started, seems like you would have had to add some. Anyway, I like the idea of just checking the bolts then cleaning it up, then running it to see if /where it's leaking. Unless you're dealer is picking it up tomorrow.

It ran down the cover then blew all over everything underneath. I think it might be one of the breather hoses above? But, it's definitely oil. Everything is so compact it's hard to see anything.

Found it. It's a breather tube. Those geniuses at the dealership over tightened the hose clamp and severed the tube at the connection point on top of the engine case. Looks like it needs a new hose. Thx for the help guys.

Good to hear that it is not too serious problem. Which breather tube it is, could you post a photo?

The breather return hose that runs from the air box to the top of the crankcase split on my bike. Have to replace with new lower air box as its moulded in one piece. Looked exactly the same when we noticed it.

Just heard from the dealer. They're replacing the lower air box as (like you said) the hose is integrated and cannot be replaced without it.

this is wild, on the other ducs I've owned it was just a rubber tube positioned at the low point of the airbox, the hose attached to a nipple on the airbox.
