Flipper switch to 1299

I have a standard 1299 that I am building up. I see the connection/plug on the harness to plug in a + - flipper switch that the 1299S has. If I add this to my bars and plug it in will it show up in the settings menu? Right now the option is shown in settings but it’s light grey as nothing is connected.

That's a good question. I would think it should work as all the + - switch does is toggle between the settings of a designated (what you set it to) rider aid. And once it is plugged in the dash should recognize it. I don't know of anyone who has added it to the standard model. It seems to be standard on the S and R models. If you don't already have one, I do have one I removed from my R model.

UPDATE: Harness already setup for the switch from factory, that was plug n play. Dealer was able to access the CAN bus and enable the up down switch in the BBS (body control module). Didn’t have to remove the Bren Tune.
