Easy Tiger,

I wasn't having a go and simply voicing my opinion as to why someone would buy this system and not bother with a tune, for what it's worth i actually have this system on my R and have been running it for almost a year, I went with a rexxer reflash which is great and power is very linear. Drop me a PM and i can share the dyno results so you can use it as a reference.

I am doing the same . Just fitted up this system and doing the rexxer re flash this week .

I went from the Termi full system with tuneboy software to akroprovic system and the difference was staggering ,low to midrange the bikes a beast with no top end lost ,I was seriously considering selling as the midrange hole really pissed me off coming off turns ,sorry to say this but the Termi system a joke ,the only thing is the akroprovic is a lot louder in a nice way

proof is in the number; stock vs akro with tune!

the torque is so much better, there is still a slight drop in power/torque in the mid range still, however because there is that gain in the low rpm, you don't really notice the mid range lost if anything you feel a nice little kick around the 6000rpm when it kicks back in.

i don't think you can completely get rid of that mid-range drop with a system that is street legal

That's how mine feels when I ran the Termi system I ran it on 195 hi on the back roads now with the akroprovic I run it on 195 lo because it's a beast :D:D

i also run mine in 195lo with the akra system. 195Hi is ....... insane the throttle is so insanely responsive, i don't have the control to be able to ride it fast with it on.

it's amazing that at 80km/hr in 4th gear the torque difference is 15ft/lbs

Hi Folks,

this is a comparison an expert for mappings from Germany (Daniel Deussen) did.

Both measurements from an 1199R, one with OEM exhaust and a modified tuneboy map (here the torque drop seems to be smaller already as with stock map) and the other with full Akra and modified tuneboy map as well.

As you can see, at 5,200/min the Akra generates 20 Nm (almost 15 ft-lbs) more torque!

Thats a torque curve as it has to be :)

By the way, the data shows wheel torque/power, not clutch!
