You have to take off the mirrors, the 2 push-clips/screws on each side under the headlights and remove that panel, remove the smaller screws on the plastic that holds the cover around the ignition switch and inner fairing plastic and remove those panels, then remove the bolts (8mm head) that go through the headlight mounts into the nose panel.
From there, it should just be the clip at the center of the nose between the headlights, which I *think* just clips the nose panel to the headlights. You could wiggle it around and try and see how it attaches there.
I was literally walking to my computer to bitch about how insane it is to change the headlight bulbs on a Halogen-equipped bike and saw this thread. This bike does NOT disassemble as easy as the older bikes. Wtf. And the instructions in the owners manual for replacing the headlight bulbs don't cover a Halogen bulb replacement, and also is missing the reference to #3. Seriously, look at the owners manual, it's not there!
I'm thinking of replacing all the fairing screws with quarter-turn fasteners and plates.
