Can anyone post up a couple of close up pictures of the front 1299 Subframe. I am specifically looking for pictures of the two black rubber pads and their position on the casting. These were removed for cerakoting and I omitted to take pictures beforehand. Thanks in advance.

Hey Urs

I had the CDT unit for the 1299 in the matte finish. Complete piece of crap. Sent it back with a whole list of issues. The finish was great. The fit just about everywhere was horrible. Hopefully the 1199 unit is better. I went with a modified Motoholder.

Hey endodoc,

Do you know if CDT/Full Six ever fixed the issues with the carbon unit? I was actually thinking about picking one of these up. Any info on it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hey Endo,

Do you have the CDT 1299 main headlight fairing and side panels on your Panigale? Was the fit way off or close?

Just like many stories I got from CDT "oops, yea, you were not supposed to get that, that was pre production" bla bla. Most of their complex parts need a considerable amount of work to fit and then they do not fit like OEM. The 1299 fairing bracket was a disaster. The holes to mount it to the frame were off. How do you F that up. It was crooked and the headlight posts were a complete disaster with epoxy all over them. I sent it back and of course was told that all issues would be rectified. I did not bother trying another one. Seems I was the lucky one who mysteriously got all the 1299 prototype parts that didn't fit well. They may have fixed the issues. They asked me to detail all the areas that were wrong so that they could go to QC and rectify the situation. For $600.00, ill pass. The Motoholders is cheap, light and you can toss it in the trash if you crash. I have a .... ton of carbon from CDT. Some of it is good, some not so good. The biggest drawback for most is the realization that your going to have to take a Dremel to that $500.00 body panel. For what they charge for glorified fiberglass, you would think they would shore up the QC before it headed out the door and CDT is better than most.

Yeah that's the realization with most carbon parts from all the manufacturers including CDT. I have had to dremel just about every carbon part to make fit precise.

Yes that one is much more refined than the one I got. I did get another a few days ago that looks pretty good but I think Im going to shelve it and stick with the Motoholders right now.
