Just like many stories I got from CDT "oops, yea, you were not supposed to get that, that was pre production" bla bla. Most of their complex parts need a considerable amount of work to fit and then they do not fit like OEM. The 1299 fairing bracket was a disaster. The holes to mount it to the frame were off. How do you F that up. It was crooked and the headlight posts were a complete disaster with epoxy all over them. I sent it back and of course was told that all issues would be rectified. I did not bother trying another one. Seems I was the lucky one who mysteriously got all the 1299 prototype parts that didn't fit well. They may have fixed the issues. They asked me to detail all the areas that were wrong so that they could go to QC and rectify the situation. For $600.00, ill pass. The Motoholders is cheap, light and you can toss it in the trash if you crash. I have a .... ton of carbon from CDT. Some of it is good, some not so good. The biggest drawback for most is the realization that your going to have to take a Dremel to that $500.00 body panel. For what they charge for glorified fiberglass, you would think they would shore up the QC before it headed out the door and CDT is better than most.
