Hey folks, can someone go out to your 1199 and compare please and post a pic.

Is it me or does the center line of the tire not line up to the center line of the front fender? It's almost as if the wheel is shifted to the left a little. It would appear also the gap between the rotor and the side of the fender is smaller on the left than the right side.

Before you ask yes I have confirmed the spacers are in the correct sides so thats not causing the shift and all the bolts are torqued to spec (not that they would make the wheel shift over.

Is this working as intended or is something wrong? I don't care so much about the cosmetics as I do if something is messed up. Calipers lined up fine and everything is buttoned up and straight from what I can tell.

It looks like your fender is warped like mine is. Every 1199 ive see. Does that with oem or dp fenders that ive seen so far. But i could be mistaken..

Did you seat the axle in the forks before tightening the pinch bolts ?

PM me with an e-mail address and I'll send you the procedure described in the workshop manual.

Cheers

Yep I followed the procedure right, axle in while on front stands, hand tighten the front axle nut. Take bike off front stand and bounce the front a little. Torque the axle nut to spec and the. Torque the pinch bolts to spec outside in pattern.

Same procedure I follow for all my other bikes too.

Anyone have pics of front wheel/fender alignment?

Hmmm doubt they are twisted. That would have been very evident at the track, she has 900 track only miles

You pay all that extra money for quality carbon fibre, replace it with an ABS plastic one. At least they keep their shape.
;)

The only thing it could be if it was not already like that is if the bolts that hold the fender have come loose and not centralised .
They do locate in a larger diameter hole make sure this is the case .
It is not possible for the forks to be twisted the axel will not go in if this is the case .
I doubt the fender has become warped .

So good news and bad news, good news is it helped a little re-aligning it but I think you're all are right it must be warped or something. Bad news is I stripped (2) of the allen head bolts that hold it on, its on but its gonna be a nightmare when its time to remove them. Thinking I'll order (4) new bolts from a dealer and maybe use an ez-out or maybe try to cut a small slit in the bolt head and use a flat head screw driver.
