Ok, so I had my bike outside running and it just shut off for no reason. The gas light was on so i figured it ran out of fuel. Any idea how long it takes to prime it back up. I killed my battery trying to start it back up. Any advise would be great.

Did you actually put gas in it or do you think there's gas in it?

It was running with the fuel light on, turned off and now won't start? There's not a lot of details to help with troubleshooting. What have you tried?

Since the battery is now dead get that charged back up and try again. If one of the injectors was plugged which is common it would have ran on one cylinder. I am leaning towards your fuel pump crapped out but would recommend pulling off the tank remove the fuel pump connect 12v directly to the pump motor if it does not spin up its dead.

When i turn the bike on I can hear it prime up. Now I have building this bike for a while so things have set. I am also running VP race fuel as well. I believe its the 105 leaded fuel. I haven't had any issues with either until now.

I sure hope you're running some kind of tuning setup like the T800 and have removed your O2 sensors, otherwise that leaded gas is absolutely trashing them.

I thought you were supposed to drain the tank of that stuff for storage? Doesn’t that gas cause bad things to happen to fuel components or is that something else?

Ok so thats good pump is working so next I be looking to make sure fuel lines are not plugged as well as the injectors.

Depends if it's oxygenated or not I think. Non-oxygenated is fine on fuel lines. Oxygenated stuff like MR12 corrodes them and gums up everything as much of it evaporates very quickly and leaves residue everywhere.

Ethanol fuel will evaporate over time into a gummy mess. Ask anyone with carbureted lawn equipment.

Since the bike was running I doubt it has anything to do with ejectors or fuel pumps.

There is a paper filter in the fuel pump so if it broke down then the injectors could have plugged. The primaries would be the one to look at. That's why I run a modded fuel pump both filters removed and a MWR sock installed won't have to worry about all the common issues especially with carbon tanks its a must have.

Given that he doesn't understand fuel pump priming, I'm thinking its going to be something way more basic.

Made sure everything was good, I think it a vacuum issue going on in the tank. Im going to remove the gas cap and see if that works.
