Stock system in traffic routinely got up to 220-224 and the heat was bearable with Kevlar jeans.

Full system in same traffic in same ambient temp of about 77 got up to 216 max yet the heat seemed to radiate further but was tolerable in any case and it's relatively easy to find a bit more comfortable leg position

Perhaps the fatter pipes let more heat out of the engine thus the cooler temps and the more radiant heat?

When you get the Termi full-system you also get a heat shield that goes at the under the tank-seat area (not sure if this is a new addition to the package or a recent attempt to address the heat coming off the rear head) and the metal heat guard is replaced with a CF heat guard and a reflective heat shield.

Also, my mechanic noted that the bike runs much richer with the new map and pipe, which makes it run slightly cooler. (The bike is imported very lean to meet emissions standards.)

I am building a set of heat deflectors to redirect heat stream from engine. I believe the heat noticed under the thigh is already hot from this stream and not noticed until leg position changes to stand bike up at stop.
