So just a few weeks back I got my bike from the dealer after fixing a few leaks. As the forecast for this weekend looks promising I decided to go through the bike and get it ready for a cruise just to make sure no more leaks pop up.

As I go to top of the gas I could not get the key in all the way into the gas cap! Not sure if it's freezing temperatures that got it jammed up or what else it could be... Not sure if a little lubrication or grease in there will help... Any ideas?

There are only 2 things to put in the lock.

1. is Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly.
2. is a little squirt of INOX.

Graphite "may" be ok in your application as long as you don't put it into an ignition lock.
Keep Graphite away from ignition locks period.

With the other 2 options, Graphite it a poor choice regardless even if it will still work;)
