Gas Tank HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I walked out to the bike this morning to give it a glance over before heading out and saw this ....! The front of the gas cap assy has shifted up and back. Dealer said they are ordering a new gasket for it and its safe to ride but I want other's feedback as they've never seen this happen. Anyone?

Loosen it up, move forward, and reseat the beech. 2 minutes done.
