But that's what is paid for my set of Q3s after the Dunlop rebate... :D

Seriously though, that's the best price I've seen yet for 200/55 SuperCorsa. Won't be going back for a long while though. Just put on the Q3 and next up will be the Bridgestone S20 EVO with the new 200/55 size.

I'll try the Q3's next. I already had a front replacement, and I didn't want to mismatch.

Hey Jeff,
Have you tried them yet?
Let me know what you think?
Chas

Hey Chas, good seeing you last week. I finally got out in today's awesome weather and did some on-ramp surfing on the Q3s. Fantastic stick, and great feel. Not quite as quick-steering as the Pirelli Supercorsas but you get used to it, and I could still make some chassis changes to quicken it up a bit. I was easily knee down a few times and there was a lot more if I wanted to.

For roughly $210 for a set after the Dunlop $40 rebate (which just expired April 30), there is not much more you could ask for on the street.

Even at full price of $250 a set, these are the best deal in sportbike tires. I'm interested in the Bridgestone S20 EVO tires that just came out and come in the 200/55 rear for the 1199. I really enjoyed the S20, it had the most feel out of the three tires I've tried so far on the 1199, so if they've improved the life - Bridgestone claim 22% longer tread wear - and everything else is the same or improved, that's going to be a great choice as the pricing is the same as the Q3. Going to be a while though as I'll probably get another Q3 rear before I'm ready to change the set.

I'm dropping my bike at Yaman's tomorrow for the Rapid Bike Race install. Can't wait!

try michelin cups - A (compound) front - B (compound) rear - $390(?) a set

-- a 190 measures the same as a 200 pirelli - the 200 michelin is a full 1" wider

i'm going with the Pilot power 3's installed on thursday... the set for a mere $290 and $400 for all!!! im happy here

I cannot agree with this statement...

me either. not a huge difference but in the same riding conditions, weather, psi, etc, i got 1000 more miles out of the Q3. 33% longer life. 2000 miles on the SC and 3000 miles on the Q3 (rear). both past wear bars. both wore pretty evenly. i had the S20 on the rear for a bit...lasted about 3k as well but wore very unevenly. very fast in the middle. i will be very interested to see how the EVO does with the 3 compounds vs the 2 compounds...however, i wont be leaving the Q3 anytime soon. i love it. the 190/55 works perfectly with my TC on 3. down from 5 on the SC.

the pilot power 3 is a great sport touring tire - now replaced, (in case you are unaware) by the pilot power 4 (duhh) :)

wrong the pilot power 3 is brand new you are talking about a different tire which is the pilot road 4. the pilot power 3 replaced the pilot power 2 (in case you are unaware (duhh)

ive said it 100 times the 200/55 pirelli is actually 193 mm wide not 200
the dunlop q3 is listed as 190/55 but is 193.5 mm wide but isnt as tall.
the pilot power 3 is listed as a 190/55 trying to find actual
bridgestone s20 evo is listed 200/55 trying to find actual

there is a 10mm play if a tire is listed as a 190 technically it can be 181mm wide to 199mm so a 200 tire like pirelli can be 193 and still labled 200. just as the dunlop is 193.5 can be labeled 190

In my case, the Supercorsa's held up about as well as the Q3's; I got very similar mileage out of both. The Bridgestone S20 rear wore quicker, but the front was on par with the others. I was actually surprised at the durability of the OEM Pirellis as I'd figured they'd be toast in well under 2K as sticky as they were. I think the wear on the rear Q3 (or any other 190) might get a bit of help from the more active TC, but they're are all pretty soft compound tires. I tend to change both at once and get around 2,500 mi. or so a set.

jeff have you seen the evo on sale in the us yet? ive made various calls and was told only in europe for now

"Shots fired...shots fired....".......i must stand corrected..the pilot power is new.....and i was referring to the replacement of the pilot road 3 which is the pilot road 4 as you clearly stated (shot a cannon at me) :) -- being addicted to the Cups i don't see the reasoning for any other tire anyway :)

Nope. It was your thread discussion with Steve B that made me aware of it. As you found out, only the European site shows it. The US Bridgestone site doesn't show it yet.

-- well, michelin blows that 10mm idea into the weeds - their 200/55 measures (at 32psi) a full 10.5"wide which = 266.7mm - huge - steering does slow a tad :)
