GoPro mount?

Back in January of this year a forum member with the user name RPM had a number of Panigale stem mounted go pro mounts made up for forum members, myself included. Worth a look but don't know if still available.

That's a dead end.

I used a RAM ball, a 3/4" washer underneath and on top of the Steering stem nut.

About $8

There's a plastic cover on the bottom of the lower triple clamp, that pops off easily. Without removing the front wheel or fender, I used two or three 1/4" drive extensions to slide the bolt up until it was up against the steering stem nut and then screwed the RAM ball on.

I was using a steering stem mount, with a RAM ball, for my GoPro. But since my AIM lap timer has taken up that spot, I made this little setup.

It's a piece of aluminum plate, two aluminum rods (McMaster-Carr part # 94669A154) and two M6x1.00 15mm long bolts.

The plate is a little large as I made it to take a stick on GoPro mount, but the GoPro mount clip rattled a bit in the mount. I had this aluminum GoPro mount that I screwed in from underneath the plate with a 1/4" 20, 1/2" bolt (standard tripod camera mount).

For the hollow rod, I drilled the hole a little bigger with a 13/64" drill and tapped both ends with a M6 x 1.00 tap. I removed the two little black cap bolts that hold the plastic piece around the ignition key and drilled the black plastic holes out to 10mm from 9mm. The rods screw onto the two studs where the black cap screws went. I used some loctite.

If the mount works well, this weekend at COTA, I'll trim the plate down to the size of the red anodized part.

I 3D printed one with a ball bearing for the steering axle nut and used the steering damper bolt to fix the direction..

Printed in ABS plastic, platform surface is 40mm wide.

Through together a little mount tonight with some leftover aluminum plate and spacers. Just tapped out some threads.. easy breezy. It's not super pretty and CNC'd, but it'll do on the track.

Who made that one. There was another one in the classifieds that my buddy bought that mounted to the steering stem but that guy has disappeared. Looking for other options.

You may be referring to 'RPM' who is back taking orders. There is a current thread on this.

How do you like the moto gyro vision?

I have the first generation, pre-ordered it before they started shipping original production units.

It works well, but you really need to tighten it down hard or bumps will make it flip forward or backwards.

Here's a bit of video I took, following a friend, earlier this year using it. Track is very bumpy.
