I honestly hate the standard shift pattern and judging by pictures it looks like it might be able to be flipped. Can anyone with their bike already confirm this?

+1...thats the first thing I plan to try :)

the problem with doing this tho is that you'd have to live without the QS feature...I mean you could still change gear without the clutch, but its not as smooth as having the QS :-/

I'm going to at least try it out if it fits. You'd have to flip it at both ends :-/.

Just buy the reverse qs. Simples!

More seriously I am not sure why Ducati would sell the Reverse QS if it was so easy to just flip.

I have ordered the Reverse QS for my bike (also on order :( )

I'm waiting for the Rizoma rear sets before I do it properly lol. That unit is half the price of rear sets which usually come with the option.

reason they sell the Reverse QS is because even tho its possible to flip the link, the actual QS switch wont work in that config...

Trust me, I've look into this lol. I've pulled apart the switch on my 1198 just to see how it worked...then I just junked it and put reverse lever directly on gearbox ;-)

reverse lever wont work on the 1199 tho, the gearbox position way too far and high from foot peg

I'm not excited about having to possibly drop $500 on the reverse link, may just flip the stock link and live without DQS :-/

wait for the austin racing rearsets, they are going to offer both choices. using the stock shift rod. at least this is what AR is saying in another post.

I assume therefore that the link will need flipping to work with the reverse QS?

+1 on the AR.

I was lucky enough to see the pre-production item and they look fab.!

this is another reason I refude to buy the Ducati part...tho it comes with another rod...all you're really buying is the switch (which is what drops the rpm just slightly for gear to engage harmless)

I'll also wait to see whats coming
