If HOnda made that bike i'd probably have to get one. I bet it's a pretty fun bike. But I do wonder how long it would take to get bored with it. Anybody actually have a grom? Are they fun?

the local bike scene has suddenly gone Grom crazy. People with serious 1000cc sportbikes are getting them. Guys I know that race WERA seriously are getting them.
They're just seriously stupid fun, and especially fully geared up, relatively hard to really hurt yourself on one, being lower to the ground and at much lower velocities than you normally find yourself.
I plan to hoon around on it, see if I can learn how to do various types of wheelies and drift the rear to back it in. My wife wants to ride it for local errands - she's very meticulous about her Monster and doesn't like putting miles on it, among other OCD things about her precious bike.
And for sure I'm going to run this thing in the Grom Cup. Already got the rules for what I can mod/not mod. Don't know what will happen though if I get a rival and I kick the ....... off his bike

I don't know .... about Grom but looks like you have to do something with pegs? it will hit when you have your knees down. I saw a video of a guy in Dragon go off the road because of pegs? maybe it was tires.

Stock pegs are low but 90%okay... Stock Tires suck, but they are faster.. Like 68mph down hill full tuck. The Michelins I have on now only do 65 at the same hill...
Coner speed is way better though.
