I had my fairings off the bike I was looking in there and found some oil by the cylinder head any clues to what could it be
had anybody found oil by the front cylinder head

Is it definitely oil and not coolant? I think it looks like coolant. Check all hose clamps for starters. Do you know what colour coolant is used in the bike? I dont yet! Most cars these days have a pink coloured coolant,if it is a coolant leak and the same spec as used in cars then it usually leaves a tell tale residue when it dries up,almost like a dye. Let me know what you find. I had a loose clip on the breather pipe in the middle of the V of the engine and that leaked a small amount of oil,but your leak there is at the front of the engine way away from that hose,but do check that though,assuming it is oil. It should have a sweet taste if coolant too,check a little dab. Take it easy.
