Hi guys, thanks to everyone who helped with finding my problem. You’ll see in the videos that cold starting the oil light was flashing, start the bike up and run it until warm, switch off for a few minutes then restart and the oil stops flashing and is solid, yes, on start up it goes out.

Replaced the oil pressure sensor, no joy, did some research and then checked the sensors earth…which on the 1199 it earths through the oil line since the sensor is held remotely. Checked continuity and lo and behold open circuit when cold.

Dummy earthed it and oil light behaved as it should, replaced the oil line and re checked the continuity, all good, turned on the ignition and voila the light is solid and of course goes out when started. Easy fix once you know what it is. Any questions please feel free to ask

I completely forgot but it did happen to me last year.
I think I did not properly store the clutch cover while doing an extended maintenance and the line got slightly bent. I imagine this was enough to break continuity in the line and it created that same flashing oil light error. I quickly replaced it with a spare one I already had and the entire issue was forgotten until now.

Lol, well at least the Ducati Panigale community are now armed with a simple fix to what could be really expensive to diagnose at the stealerships👍

Hello, how difficult was it to replace the oil pressure sensor? I may have one that's going out.

Right hand upper guard/ fender/ panel comes off, then locate the wire that goes to the sensor and unplug, undo the oil line to the engine, careful not to lose the washer under the banjo, now the sensor sits in a rubber grommet, pull gently the black shroud back towards you and push the sensor towards the motor, it should just pop out then wiggle it all out and happy days. When you screw the new sensor to the oil line take note the orientation of the plug to the banjo, why this is important is because once it’s all put back together you want the clip on the wire to be easily accessed for next time lol.
