So I didn't get off to a good start with my Panigale. The bike has 2200km on the clock and last Saturday had what seemed to be a coolant blowout.
The dealer came to collect the bike and informed me that the head gasket blew. A bit concerning considering that the bike wasn't running hot at any stage and didn't have any warnings. I only had it for a week and haven't pushed it or anything so was wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this?

At least they are fixing it under warranty and gave me a loan bike in the meantime.

I have had to replace head gaskets before . See if they will use the SL head gaskets they are expensive but better .
I'm sure they fit the 1299 as well but worth checking .

Sure? Considering the 4mm bigger bore on the 1299, I wouldn't bet on it..

I have a 1199 but blew a head gasket at 1400 miles with no warning. They rebuilt the engine and replaced the whole cooling system due to it being all gunked up for a cost of $8,000(thank god for warranty). Low and behold it blew again at 1660 miles. I've had my bike for a total of three months this season with no loaner bike and I bought it new in the crate in January. I'm currently trying to work with Ducati on other options as it seems a rebuild doesn't work and I don't feel like going through this every so often. Let me know how yours turns out
