Heat issues

I bought a 14 Base model with ABS new back in March. I ride it to and from work 2 days a week in 100 degree weather. I wear a mesh jacket, slider jeans, leather boots, gloves and a helmet.

I find that I only get scorched on my ... and thighs if I get caught in a traffic jam for more than 10 min.

If I leave work early enough to avoid the jams, I don't have heat issues. And I still have the stock exhaust.

Sitting at stop lights and stop signs is not enough of a pause for it to get hot enough to burn me.

So, I guess it all depends upon the individual.

my bike gets to 220+ degree if i ride in local in 1st 15 mins. it burns me instant. it wasnt this bad when i didnt have full termi on. but after it got super hot so i bought a full leather and it helped me a lot. it still burns me like crazy if i get stuck in traffic. full termi (idk about akra ) makes this thing super hot real quick.

Heat? What Heat?

I just Removed the cylinder covers - helps them dissipate it and looks way better

Good thing a full termi system is not in the plans.

I only want the carbon slip ons and an air filter. Just don't have the coin for them yet.

As far as engine temps go. On the way home when it is between 100 and 103 F, I am seeing 217 to 223 on the engine temp. To me, it is still bearable until I get stuck in traffic.

Use rubber or carbon fibre on subframe and engine cover screws to avoid metal to skin contact. Ride with legs slightly apart when going slow. Turn motor off during prolonged traffic stops.

My solution to it is to wrap 2 steaks under my thigh for slow moving traffic, then I can have some steak after the ride. Having a grille on ya ride is kinda luxury really.

There's a rumor that Planned ParentHood is giving Ducati an award. LOL

I used to have hair on my ... and back of my thighs a month ago. Then I purchased a 1299. No more hair. It's not bad above 60 mph but in traffic or stuck behind a slow car sucks. The front tire comming off the ground in 3rd over 100mph just from pure power pretty much makes me not care the heat at all.

It's thanks to you guys over the pond riding race bikes in shorts and complaining about a little skin toasting that all the sexy parts of the Panigale are now covered in ugly plastic covers ;)

I had a 2012 model last year with the bare engine and it looks a lot sexier and is probably better on the engine temp in that area. I'm still toying with removing the covers from the new bike but they are at least some free protection, plus it looks a right headache to remove them.
