Hello (Ducati) World!

First foray into Ducati --3 mos. into street riding (had a background in dirt bikes when I was a youth). The Ducati Monster 1200S --about 250 miles so far on the odometer and I am having a love affair with this gorgeous Italian red (could be wine, women, or bikes, I suppose). I've not disengaged the "SPORT" mode since I picked her up and have found her very manageable in and around the City of New York (I live in the middle of Manhattan). She does get really HOT for me when waiting around for lights every 100-ft., but when I get her out of the City and onto open roads, WATCH OUT! I don't think I need more than 4th gear, or risk my license being suspended and hauled off to the clink. Anyway, I'm really loving my intro to Ducati and what a nice bike to start on. I'm upgrading to a front windscreen (still naked, but a small bikini faring), put on a smattering of Rizoma bits on her, and IMO the obligatory Termignoni (or after market) exhaust (sans baffle).
