Hey All,
My name is Devin and I just made the jump to the Ducati family. Ever since I first laid eyes on an 1199 Panigale back in 2011, I loved the aggressive styling and hard lines that it has. I actually had a bunch of pictures of the 1199 that I used as my screensaver on my computer. The folder they were in was actually titled "Dream Bikes". About half of the pictures were of the Tricolore and I fell in love with its livery. In reality, I never thought I'd truly be able to own one of them though. Due to some smart decisions and quite a bit of good fortune I ended up in a place where I could envision one day "maybe" owning an 1199. About four months ago I was going to look at a Stealth Black 848 EVO, but when I got there they had already sold it. They did however have a Stealth Black 1199 S sitting next to a Tricolore. At that moment I decided I was going to own one no matter what. I decided that I wasn't going to settle for anything less than a Tricolore, and that is where the journey began. I spent the last three and a half months searching for the perfect Tricolore.
My journey to find it came to an end this past Monday when I layed eyes on a 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale S Tricolore in perfect condition with 3300 miles!! The second that I sat on it, I knew it was the one. About 4 hours and a decent scare later the bike was safely home in my garage and my wallet was quite a bit lighter. So far I've only put about 150 miles on it but man do I love it!!! I've caught myself so many times just staring at it wondering if it is really mine.
Anyway I'll get off my soap box now. The only thing I'm not happy with is that the guy who had it before me installed the DP License Plate Holder and the LED license plate light isn't working. I haven't dug into it very much but I can't figure out what is wrong with it. If anyone has experienced an issue like this I would greatly appreciate any insight you might have.
Thank you for letting me tell my story and I look forward to talking to you guys more.
