I traded in my 2007 Ducati 1098 for a 2013 Panigale S on April 10. On my first ride, I changed the EBC from 1 to 2 and found it much more pleasurable to ride. I also reduced the compression damping from 18 to 20 in the front and from 18 to 22 in the rear. I plan to check the sag next.

I also put some black tape on the steering damper and the front surface of the top fork clamp to cut down on reflections on the LCD display.

So far, I am very happy with the bike. It turns easier than my 1098, but the main reason I got it was for the ABS. I also plan to put Grip Puppies on the hand grips, although riding without them was not as bad as I expected. They were mandatory on the 1098 (for me).

The seat on the 1199 seems harder than the very nice seat on the 1098.

Get the DP comfort seat, that and some sticky pegs are required upgrades! Enjoy!
