Long time lurker but I thought I should go ahead and introduce myself. I'm Kris and I became a proud owner of 2015 Panigale 1299 S a while back. I had traded in my 2009 1198. I currently am working overseas so I don't get to enjoy the Pani as much as I should. This site has been a great resource for pretty much any questions I've had for the Pani. Thanks again!:)

As far as the ergonomics go it was night and day. The 1299S is very comfortable (as far as sportbikes go). Going only by the seat of the pants the 1198 made more power down low whereas the Panigale had to be revved higher. I do miss the 1198 but that goes away every time I take the 1299S out for a spin. I am getting some upgrades for it when I go home on vacation in June. The planned upgrades are going to be:
FullSix carbon fiber monocoque tail
FullSix carbon fiber oversized tank
Clear clutch cover
Carbon Fiber top, sides and belly pan
BST Rapid Tek Wheels (hopefully!)

Later I'll upgrade the exhaust and add a rapid bike (leaning towards the redline full system)

thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome Ghengiskris

Welcome from the shadows!!

There are several Panigales out at Apex track days, Utah Motorsports Campus, and a bunch of nice guys on all sorts of bikes.

First track day of the season is this Saturday the 28th.

If you haven't done track before, no problem. They rent leathers and other appropriate gear if you don't have it.

Other than replacing your coolant with non-ethylene glycol, there isn't a lot of set up to do. Come on out!!

I live at the western mouth of Parley's canyon. This will be my 4th season at the track. Took the plates off my bike last year. But I have a 900SS that I will ride on the street now and then.

Hope to meet you sometime.

Paul

I'll be signing up for the track day on 6/15. That's when I'll be home on vacation. I did my first track day last September and I have been bitten by the bug. I'll be running my Gixxer track bike that day. Just look for the slowest rider in C group :D Hope to see you then!
Kris
