Hello all;
I live in Hawaii and I'm new (as you can sure tell) to this site. I have been riding since young, started on dirt bikes and progressed from there. I currently ride an 07 GSXR 1000 that I've had since new. I've always liked the looks of the Ducatis, and Im especially in love with the 1299 (base or S) Panigale. Im finally in a position to buy one so I've been researching and reading the posts on this and other sites. I am aware of different issues with the bike but at this point in my life I can take a risk and buy with my heart. I will however, welcome any advice towards the purchase (what to look for, characteristics) of a new Ducati.

I'm new here as well and am looking to buy Base or S 1299 as well. Just haven't decided to pull the trigger yet. Like you I'm still doing my research and trying to arm myself with knowledge for when I go talk to the dealer.
