Preparing to do a leak down test, however, I can't find any info on how to find TDC on these bikes. Anyone have experience with this?

I'm sure you can answer this by yourself, after you solved the deco problem.

about the automatic decompression system

@chris16 unfortunately that’s not helpful. Need to be able to find TDC with the valve covers on for the leak down test.

Loosen plug, put it in sixth, rotate cylinder onto compression stroke (it'll hiss), take plug out, stick screwdriver in, rotate motor. Watch for the dwell at top (normally a few degrees depends on the rod ratio).

There’s also a bolt right by the oil sight glass that you take out to fit the TDC tool in, you can turn the motor over til you see the notches inside that hole and line it up that way.

ok sorry.
how do you perform the leak test?
maybe I misunderstood you here, I thought you meant putting air flow in the plug hole and measure the loss of pressure.
