Ok it's been a beautiful year of the 1199 arrival and yet there is still no shop manual to help us do basic maintenance. Lately we have been getting quite a few great new members looking for help with their beloved new machine. All the info/experience we've learned in the past year. Let's help them out as a new years resolution. Here's what I'm proposing:

Please post up any how to's (in the GUIDES section) that you have learned and shared within this forum. Or at least drag the link over to the section. Photos do the most help. Up until today there were 2 total how to's in the guide section.

How does this help the new owners? One spot to search overly asked questions. Updated info from new experiences all in one place.

How does this help the veteran owners? The forums will be less cluttered with the same old questions. (picture that mess in five years) And there won't be as many debates how to complete a task. And most of all you won't have to say "look it up noob". (which happens more than you think)

If Ducati won't make a manual let's help each other make one ourselves!

I love this idea as it would help out a lot of people and stop a lot of unneeded posts. I would be glad to help with this as I enjoy playing with the bike but don't enjoy breaking plastic or cutting knuckles on stupid ....! I haven't done alot yet but am starting to and would love this section.
