Installed the full termi and upmap.

Went for a test ride and cruising on wet pavement in second gear at lower RPM under 5000k there was a hesitation before it would take off.

I don't know if its normal with a full system or not???

It did not do this with the stock pipe.

I have a question about reflashes by the dealer. I know they reflashed the bike before it left the showroom so it had the latest map for the stock exhaust.

Im curious if when they do the update and reflash the ECU if they reflash all 3 different maps that your ECU has stored, or do they just reflash the map to your current ECU???

That sounds like the famous flat spot most Streetfighter owner would get. You need a better tuning solution.

I had this when I first had the full system installed but found it was due to still having just the slip on map running. You have to take to slip on map off and then add the Evo map, can't go from race to race evo for some reason.

Anyway, that's what caused mine and all is good now with better power delivery than it had as standard or with just the slip on. Latest maps seems very good to me.

Picked up my bike with the full system installed, including the appropriate map. No hesitation at any rpm.

The engine may run rough or idle poorly right after ECU update. The ECU now has default numbers in its trim memory - it has to adjust them to match the tune of your engine and its sensors and actuators. It might take a day or two to "learn" when driving in traffic/track etc before the engine will settle down again. The "learning" is actually a process that the ECU uses to track the tolerance changes of the sensors and actuators on the engine. The ECU stores these "learned" values in battery backed-up RAM so that it doesn't have to start from scratch the next time you turn your engine over. Ducati mechanic told me it probably would take 26 miles before it settles down and mine took about that.

Probably pegged it here.

That and a combination of me babying it on wet pavement.

Took it out for a 40 minute ride on dry pavement, and as long as I wasn't in first gear around 25mph trying to hold that speed around 3500 rpm, there wasn't a issue.

Throttle was touchy in first if you let off the gas and then got back on it at stupid low RPM's.

Drive it freakin normal I didn't notice any issues other then it pulls a lot harder now :p

OK, went out today for my first daytime ride with the new exhaust.

It is sweet, no hesitation at all, it just didn't like to by driven slow, and as stated it need to adjust the mapping trims.

My take?

Pulls very hard through the middle, and wringing it out was a blast. 127 in third seems to come quite a bit sooner. 3rd gear pulls like 2nd used too.

And 2nd makes the front tire much lighter then it ever did stock.

Coming out of tight corners in second Im able to make up a little more ground.

Im stoked.

HEAT.

I wrapped the exhaust and have the small old style CF heat shield. So far my impression is this is a must do mod. Heat was dramatically reduced from the stock system with a better shield method.

Now it reminds me of the heat of the 848, your butt gets a little warm but its not semi scalding how this first was.

Did you get an answer to this? I have the full system sitting in a box for some time now and don't plan to install it until June. Would I need to go to the dealer to get the latest map? The bike has the latest stock map now.

No one answered.

I go im for the larger CF heat shield and ill ask then about update maps.

My bike runs sweet, so I suppose I already had the most current map.

It makes sense that they update all 3 maps when they reflash the ECU.

-- i had dealer reset the Throttle Position Sensor and we tossed in a MRW? air filter - it pretty much eliminated the issue completely - this was done at the end of the season (november) so i do not have too many miles on it since, but the initial feedback was "it's all gone" :D
