Hi All,

Just wanted to say hi from Scotland.

I have just took delivery of my new bike a 1199S Panigale. Traded in my Big Bang R1 so hoping for good things. Looking forward to the better weather to getting out some nice runs.

I will be picking your brains and knowledge for some advise on what's best for my bike.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Nitrouz,

Ha same my R1 was 2009 Big Bang. Were you happy to go from the R1 to the Panigale?

I'm dying to get out a run on some dry roads to get a proper feel for the bike. Can't really compare to the R1 at the moment.

Hands down the Panigale is a better looking bike by a mile. Love it.

Yes, the 1199 instills way more confidence. It takes more effort to ride but because of that, you feel more at one with the bike.

Sounds good can't wait to get out a good run.

The flying Scotsman!

We have a fantastic MX rider here in the AMA ranks that reigns from Scottland !
Dean Wilson!

You will love the Duc, I came off GSXR's to these and so glad I did!

Hi 1299rFE

I will have a look out for Dean, glad your loving the Duke.

Congrats bud!
Nice pic of the two bikes, I look forward to hearing your opinion on the differences of the bikes
My limited exp of the Panigale against my limited exp of Jap ownership is that the duc is harder to ride fast (for me anyway)

But can we stop going into the garage to look at it

Hi Captain Greg,

You have just hit the nail on the head for me. I can't stop looking at the thing it's gorgous. But yes I find it harder to ride than the Big Bang R1 as in you need to be in the right gear and up in the Rev range to get the best out of it. The R1 was a lazy fast, any gear just go...I suppose that make the Panigale a more engaging ride.

To be honest I have only been out a few times on the bike and ever time the roads have been damp and slippy. Looking forward to the drier weather to get a better feel of the bike.

So far I love it
