Hi there,

I've just joined the forum to research the different Panigale models.

Just recently separated from a 13 year relationship, sold two houses and about to turn 40. I've always wanted a Ducati (back when a 916 was the new model) and now I have the opportunity and finance to do so.

I'm looking at the 1299 Panigale S and although I probably only need the 1299 Panigale, I think I will always be wishing for the S if I went the base model.

Thanks, I will most likely get the S as I don't want to have regrets and its 'only' $7k difference.

Thanks also for the link to the specced up R model but I want to get new, plus i've gone through the modification process with cars so happy to just have stock standard.

As you guys are from Australia, are Ducati likely to have sales at any time? There were some good prices on the 899 recently but I gather that was to get rid of them before the 959 arrives.

My last bike was a CBR900 about 10 years ago, so i'll be taking it pretty easy in the beginning.

Just buy the bike you want. Its always best. No regrets then. Enjoy and welcome to the forum. cheers

Hi Aus,

The 1299s would be a perfect choice. I am in Melbourne and bought the last 3 bikes from Frasers. They do a good job in there an John is very helpful.
