Just want to say hello to you all, first time owning a Ducati and I have to say I’m sorry I waited so long to get my dream bike. Been riding for 20 years and I suppose I was always afraid to take the leap having always owned Japanese sports bikes but I have to say riding a Ducati is an absolute pleasure for the senses, every ride feels like an occasion and I never had that before with any of the bikes I’ve owned over the years! Looking forward to chatting to you all and benefiting from your vast expertise and knowledge!

welcome! and what bike did you get my friend?

Thanks, went for the 1299 and loving it! Although I’m afraid it’ll get me into trouble, it’s the first bike that actually scares me, the power is just phenomenal

Ah! I have the same bike buddy, and it humbles me every time i go ride!

Hi! Welcome to the forum. I hope you share some photos of your rides. Ireland sounds amazing but I haven't been.

Thanks, the scenery is amazing when we get the weather, coming into winter it’s just raining all the time so no fun for the bikes

Great choice, they will never make another like it with all the emissions, electric wokery etc. The 1299 is king of character,it was my all time favourite to date and Ive owned over 30 bikes

I love every minute on it, having a bit of bother with it at the moment but hopefully it’s something simple so I can enjoy the remaining few spins before the weather turns here

Seriously. I might need to get one for the collection. Gorgeous bike.

Well then post photos with scenery at least!

PS, There are track days in Portimão in November by the way. You may live on an island, but it's really not that far away from a lot of spectacular riding in whatever weather you want to find. Europe is amazing. It always cracks me up, coming from California where, hauling a bike 4-5 hours to go ride some new place is pretty normal. In Europe that can be crossing 3 countries.
Don't be stuck on your island now!

Ha very true, because our country is so small anything more than 2 hours seems like a long journey lol!
