high milage Ducati's? do they exist?

So I'm curious as I truly see myself owning AND riding this bike a lot over the next 10+ years.. How many high milage Ducati's are out there? Seems like whenever you see one for sale, it's got 2000, 3000 or some ridiculously low milage...

Do you guys think this bike has the makings of a 100,000 mile bike? Along side the BMW boxers and Japanese I4 bikes?

IF well maintained and looked after of course!
 
There was a guy that had around 50,000 commuter miles on one of his bikes. I can't remember which one it was though, he doesn't seem to be active anymore.

Antihero has had two higher mileage Panigales.
 
I and my mates have very high mileage Ducati’s. A number of them each. How about a 996 SPS with over 120,000kms, that was originally raced. I have been riding them for over 40 years, yes I am that old.
We ride them hard and still do many track days. Just keep looking after them and they last a long time. Don’t listen to the crap others who don’t own Ducati’s tell you.
Actually some feel better with age.

For the low mileage guys you get a lot of ......s who buy Ducati’s for looks, sounds, image or worse as an investment. So yes you see lots of low mileage ones but that does not mean anything except maybe some people find them desirable. I prefer to ride them!
 
I will actually never buy a low mileage bike.
It could mean there are a lot of problems. A bike that has some miles on it, has been ridden and will most likely keep riding.
The best way to preserve a bike is riding it!
 
I had a 2014 Monster 1200S with 23,000 miles on it when I sold it, and it ran perfectly. And almost none of those miles were easy commuting miles. Instead, lot's of spirited canyons, drag races, street hooliganism, and some track days even before I decided I really needed to upgrade to a superbike (enter V4S).
 
For what you are wanting to do I would stay away from the engines that came with only 1 compression ring. And I would want 2:1 rod length to stroke ratio. Nothin less than 1.95:1

Either that or get good at splitting cases

Why put that many miles on a super bike anyways? So many way more comfortable options...
