i have to say goodbye for it from now, i had a little hope in the price, but it is the closest motogp bike u can get on the planet so i guess they can put the price they want so far.

they can but only maybe 10 people will own one? As far as having close-like MotoGp/Superbike and being "reasonable" price 60-70k ish that don't need a mechanic crews and a umbrella girl (ok..we can all use umbrella girls)...I think Ducati did it right.

If it was similar price with Honda...it would've been awesome...of course they may have to downgrade some parts but at least we will see it on the road/track vs sitting in some rich collector's garage.:D I can only imagine how much maintenance will be.

That is like a Ferrari price.

Seriously Honda must put some rules before buying the RC2 like showing the buyer's history with bikes and how good and hard he rides his bikes, because it is such a shame to put machines like these on sale for some ppl who want to decorate their houses with it.

For that price, why not get an ACTUAL previous-season MotoGP bike. If you know the right people...;)

Hell, the Colin Edwards FTR bike that was for sale was almost a third that. And the engine was based on a ZX-10 so you would actually be able to keeep it running.

Edit: Just noticed who posted that above, I suspect he "knows the right people" =)

lets not forget yall.....ducati auctioned off the real deal stoner and rossi motogp bike to two lucky millionaires years ago....nothing beats that

i really appreciate this bike and love the aesthetics too...harkens back to limited hondas of old in best ways...

What beats that was that the sale was conditional on the buyers agreeing to never operate them. Museum pieces only!

your right....i forgot about that....if ur money is long enough tho....no worries....contracts were made to broken

"A closer look at Honda's street-legal RC213V-S. It's said that this bike could cost as much as 200,000 Euros.
Is having MotoGP technology in your garage worth the money or no?

My answer is No... Unless you have money to burn cause it's not like the most who would buy it are going to ride it or even ride it to 1/2 of its potential.

Looks like Honda should be focusing on the replacement and upgrade for the CBR 600 & 1000. They are getting long in the tooth and low on hp and electronic gadgetry.

Going from a CBR600RR to the 1199 I couldn't agree more. The level of tech and refinement between the two goes beyond their price difference.

sad thing is that Honda is obviously more than capable of doing it but they don't for whatever reason...profit, cost? not sure.
