There is no plate showing 1/400 or 1/1500 on the 1199 S Tricolore. The Tricolore seems to be less about exclusivity and more about the best of what Ducati has to offer.
I don't think the previous 1098 tricolore had a limited production number either, so i'll guess as many orders as they can fill. In the end about 70 1098 tri's made it to australia so i'd be happy if those numbers happen again with the 1199tri
There are dealers in the UK who are stating that Production of the Tricolore will be limited to just 4 months. Exactly what that means is anyones guess, i.e. how many bikes can be made in 4 months. For me given the state of the global economy my guess is they will make as many as they can sell and why not.
I think something like 1500 made it to north America for the last tri colore, unknown how many made it to Canada from that number but I would think maybe 300.
From what I heard the Tricolore will only be a 2012 bike and will be based on orders and as such not tied to a specific number (e.g., 500, 1,000 etc.).
