How can I make my bike R version rearsets change to the GP style?
Going to track next week and don't wanna buy right now a new rearsets system.
If I change it to Gp how the quick shift will work?

Thank you!

you can change it and the quick shift will work just dont know how to do it i have ducabike rear sets

Your rearsets will have the tie rod (#5) mounted on 'em. (I believe it's mounted on the back side). What you need is #8. I'm not sure if older DP rearsets have both links or if it's just the new ones. If it's just the new ones, someone on the forum will most likely gladly sell you the piece. If your dealer installed the rearsets, you might want to contact them to see if they have the piece.

Note: there are two gearchange pushrods (#12). One is 103mm the other is a 93mm. So long as you keep your footpeg in the same position it's currently in, the GP shift swap won't change the length required. And yes, the quickshifter will work just fine.

Also, the GP shift con rod (8) can be installed with bolt/nut #9 & 11 in the hole that it's mounted in in the picture, or, for faster shifting you can mount 8 (using the same bolts) in the hole just under where it's mounted in the pic. I'd recommend the lower hole. The bolt (11) rubbed my swingarm and had kind of long travel. The lower hole = crisper shifting, but makes finding neutral nominally more difficult.

Edit: After re-reading your initial post, it's unclear if you actually have DP Rearsets. If you just have the standard "rearsets" that came on the R--which are the same as the S/base/tri (I believe)--there is no way to just flip a linkage to get GP shifting. You'll have to buy a pair of rearsets that allow for this.

For the stock rear set, you can flip the little arm attached to the transmission 180 degrees and get GP shifting. The caveat is that you won't have quick shift on an upshift until you install the Ducati GP Quickshift kit that has a push rod with the electronic switch reversed.

If you do this without the Ducati kit, you really should disable quick shift through the dashboard setup screens. The stock quick shifter installed backwards will cut the ignition on a downshift which could make a throttle blip a bit unusual.

Chris.

to just raise the DP rearsets to max height will u require any other parts other than those already installed????

Chris.

Correct. Part number for the GP quick shift is: 96676410B

It is designed to be used with the standard rear-sets. Will not work with the DP rear sets and no guarantees with any others.

Yes, I wanna use with the stock ones.
What website should I buy it from?

Ok I found it... It is over $300 maybe I should go and buy the full rear-sets from another company.

What do u guys recommend to use for the quick shift...with good amount of adjustments?

I'm using this part quoted. It works perfectly with the quick shift. It is $300 new.(it's a DP part, hence pricetag)

Correct. No other parts needed. There's only two positions, though: high and HIGHER!

Good info on the stock rearsets...had I known I may have just upgraded my pegs and bought the new quick shift. Though at $300 it's getting into Woodcraft Rearset territory.

This is the internals of DQS

Compare the button placement between the two, this is the only difference. Shame its so expensive to buy a GP shift link, looking into ways of modifying a standard one to run GP shift, its the Kiwi way!!!!
