Winter is coming :(
I decided to put the SL into my condo over the wet and cold time here. Since I live in the 1st floor, I had to invent a nice and secure solution to lift bikes onto the balcony. Together with a friend we constructed a simple crane, based on a china super-low-cost pickup truck crane and a 12V car winch, also china stuff :)

Hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating was more expensive than all the materials.

I guess you guys never saw an SL from below :)

:)
SL is already inside the condo. I had to drain the fuel first, Now it's in the living room (don't get me wrong, I ride the bike. I am not a collector or so).
But it's not that it's an SL. Having any motorcycle in one's living room is simply cool. I had my MV in the living room a couple of years ago (thanks to 5 strong men helping me to take it up the stairs). I placed that bike where everybody could see it thru the window. It was so much fun, even the garbage disposal guys and the mailman started to talk to me, because they love it. Best are little children: they are so exited to see a vehicle in the living room :)

Ha ha ha, priceless! :D You're a lucky guy having a girlfrind who actually allows you to put a bike in your living room. Even my male frinds think I'm crazy to even think about moving my bike in my condo! My next flat needs to have a big elevator. ;)

Or we're going to build you a crane too!

You need to take a partner saw to that railing it would make your life a lot easier. Looks Great!

That is seriously cool, and what a show piece, but you have used a Chinese part to hoist your Ducati, now that's a first!!!!

Out of curousity, where have u hidden the tri colore or is only the SL worthy of living room relaxation ;)

Looks great Gecko. I would be worried about the quality of the crane but then its fairly flat where I live so I suppose I could wheel it into the house when everyone is out!
