Nice maneuvering. I got nervous just going through the pics haha. Was it a nail-biter or were you pretty sure everything would hold? Great job tho man! Also, don't you have a garage parking spot that would be easier? Just wonderin'.....

I may have to ride mine into my living room now. :D
 
How'd you get it over the railing? Looked like the crane only brought it up so high, not high enough to get it over though.

Didn't drain the fuel out of mine or disconnect the battery. On new-years eve I hosted a party and some shady caracter started her up. The house had a nice smell for a few weeks, lol!

I decided to put the SL into my condo over the wet and cold time here. Since I live in the 1st floor, I had to invent a nice and secure solution to lift bikes onto the balcony. Together with a friend we constructed a simple crane, based on a china super-low-cost pickup truck crane and a 12V car winch, also china stuff :)

Hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating was more expensive than all the materials.

I guess you guys never saw an SL from below :)

How did you get over the railing, or did you remove it?
 
Now that's dedication! All I had to do was roll mine into the elevator from the parking garage and cross my fingers my concierge didn't notice on the elevator camera :)

I almost pissed in my pants!!!!
Plan was:
A) Put the SL back into my living room.
B) Put the MV next to the SL.

At the end, everything happened according the plan. But during the movement of the MV, my GF mixed up hydraulic up and down action. So the MV almost crashed from 15ft down to the ground. Lots of yelling from my side, she could stop the downfall by closing the valve abruptly. Some scratches on the Blinker, Tail, and some unreplacebale CF parts, but the bike is okay and nobody is injured.

Lessons learned: The mechanic of the crane is very robust, no crack, no silly sounds.
GF: Another moment in life that takes love to the test and shows you, that you love her even though she almost killed one of your horses.
